July Housing Market Snapshot: Home Sales Rise in Bartow and Gordon Counties
The July 2026 housing markets in Bartow and Gordon counties both recorded stronger closed sales, with units sold increasing from both last year and June. Bartow also saw home prices and active inventory rise, while Gordon posted particularly strong year-over-year sales growth as market conditions continued to evolve through the summer.
Demand
Closed sales increased in both counties during July. Bartow County recorded 140 homes sold, up 4.5% year over year and 9.4% from June. Gordon County recorded 57 homes sold, a 29.6% increase from July 2025 and a modest 1.8% increase from June. The gains in both markets point to continued buyer activity during the summer selling season.
Price
Home prices moved in different directions between the two counties. Bartow County’s median sales price increased to $346,000, up 2.5% year over year and 3.3% from June, while the average sales price reached $377,500. In Gordon County, the median sales price was $289,500, down 3.5% year over year and 0.2% from June, while the average sales price increased to $342,000.
Supply
Inventory remained elevated in both counties. Bartow County ended July with 566 active listings and 4.66 months of inventory, both higher than a year ago. Gordon County reported 230 active listings and 4.68 months of inventory. New listings totaled 207 in Bartow County and 89 in Gordon County, with new listing activity declining from June in both markets.
