National Code of Ethics Course
Special COE Event: Wed, June 27 | 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join us for this unique Code of Ethics offering that satisfies the NAR Biennial Code of Ethics training requirement. REALTORS® are required to complete ethics training of not less than 2 hours, 30 minutes of instructional time within a two-year cycle. The current two-year cycle will end Dec. 31, 2018.

Tax Reform, What it Means

While NAR remains concerned that the overall structure of the final bill diminishes the tax benefits of homeownership and will cause adverse impacts in some markets, the advocacy of NAR members, as well as consumers, helped NAR to gain some important improvements throughout the legislative process. The final legislation will benefit many homeowners, homebuyers, real estate investors, and NAR members as a result.

Biennial Code of Ethics Training Deadline: December 31, 2018

Between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2018 every REALTOR® is required to complete 2 ½ hours of Code of Ethics training and report it to your local Association/Board. REALTORS® who joined the association after January 1, 2017 and have since completed the required New Member Code of Ethics training, have already fulfilled this training requirements. All other members must complete the training by December 31, 2018 to continue their membership with the Northwest Metro Association of REALTORS®.

Highlights From the NAR Board of Directors Meeting

After visiting members of Congress and the U.S. Senate, the important business of the NAR takes place. On Saturday, May 20, the NAR Board of Directors met to discuss pressing issues for REALTORS and our industry. The BOD debated matters such as changing the structure of Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), opposing rent control measures and implementing legislation to prevent frivolous ADA lawsuits.
